I am no longer taking any new bankruptcy cases.  The new code provisions that occurred in 2005 have taken the feeling of doing good away and the costs have become to onerous.
There are few things that made me feel as good as when I was able to help someone through a bankruptcy.  That feeling was extinguished with the new code provisions of 2005.  Many uninformed people will always believe that the bankruptcy code prior to 2005 allowed for abuse.  If it did I can say that I never saw it.  My feelings are that the credit industry that makes billions on giving away high interest credit cards to anyone had a hand in this.  It is too bad that an industry can eat their cake and have it too.  Making it easy for people to fall into debt and making it near impossible for someone to have a clean slate to start over can only hurt us in the long run.

There are still good attorneys out there that will help you.  Search carefully.  Good luck.
